golf design, Tom Fazio and Arther Hills, Trump created two championship courses in Wash. D.C. that begged for attention.

 

The first course established in 1994, was designed by Tom Fazio. Playing at 7,686 yards Trump National D.C. is a par-72 course according to the scorecard. Upon its conception, the course was ranked by Golf Digest as the tenth best new private course and fifth best in the Commonwealth of Virginia.The second course, also known as the River Course was established not many years after by Arther Hills.

 

Playing at a shorter, but no easier 7,232 yards it is a par-72 course as well, designed right alongside the Potomac River. Each course perfectly complementing the other was designed with the expert and novice golfer in mind. However whereas the course plays for all skilled golfers and may be luxurious and beautiful, the golfer cannot get swept away by its scenery.With the course always in prime condition, the course is filled with water hazards, bunkers, and various types of grass.

 

The tees, fairways and greens consist of Pennlinks bentgrass, whereas the rough is a mixture of bluegrass, fescue and ryegrass.Steering away from course play, Trump being a husband and father did not only want to create a course with all the normal amenities but one that was welcoming to families.

 

The club has a pool, tennis courts, fitness center, reception area, deck and an outdoor detached patio overlooking the course.
