What makes an underdog, an underdog? Its mystery lies in the anticipation of achieving the unexpected.

However, in 2013, patrons and rookies alike took the golf world by storm. Professionals showed their viewers what it was like to clinch to the edge of their seats again.

Looking at phenoms such as Adam Scott, Justin Rose, Inbee Park and Jordan Speith fans grabbed the edge of their seats awaiting the next big upset.

Walking right into the winner’s circle golf enthusiasts are seeing the underdogs of this sport make a killing on the course. Setting a new standard for everyone that calls themselves a golfer, people are hoping for something extraordinary.

Bringing a new meaning to” flying under the radar” the

underdogs are forcing patrons to start playing better

golf.

Starting this epic trend was Adam Scott, the

Aussie from down under who stunned the world, by

becoming the first Australian to win the Master’s

Championship.

Puting his name in the history books, Scott will be remembered for this win. Scott has remained undefeated since his Master’s win, but could a new face take his place?

Justin Rose who received his first ever win, with a great finish off the 18th green of Merion Golf Course during the 113th U.S. Open, might take a shot at underdog of the year.

Rose played a consistent game and with a taste of victory, he may be on the hunt for more.

However, the real talk of the golf world is 20-year-old Jordan Speith.

Placing top five in every tournament he has competed in on tour, he was on the hunt for his tour card.

Speith put tour pros on their toes and fans on their feet in his five-way play-off match at the John Deer Classic. Finally winning at the John Deer Classic and Presidents Cup Speith earned his spot on tour and his ticket to the Masters.

“I Can’t explain my excitement for my first Masters,” Speith said. “The prep is done and I'm ready to go.”

Also, with Tiger Woods out of The 2014 Master’s due to surgery groundbreaking history may very well be on the horizon.

Only time will tell who the next underdog may be.

I Can’t explain my excitement for my first Masters. The prep is done and I'm ready to go.
