COMMUNICATIONS PROFESSIONAL
JEREMY BEALE

My name is Jeremy Rashad Beale. I am a Maryland native. I grew up in an Army household with two active-duty parents. From an early age, my parents instilled in me a sense of hard work, pride, courage, and commitment. I have been fortunate enough to travel around the world and experience so many different cultures.

Some might say communication is in my blood. Since I was a kid I have enjoyed the art of storytelling. I chronicled all about the places I went and the people I met. With such a strong drive to learn more about people and culture, I attended Liberty University and graduated with a B.A. in Communications - Journalism, Specializing in Multimedia studies.
My career as a journalist began in Lynchburg, Va., where I was a community features reporter. I told stories about everything from small businesses, community engagements, local board meetings and future innovators.

After graduating from Liberty, I attended the National Journalism Center (a subsidiary of Young American for Freedom) where I learned about moral, ethical, and impactful reporting. During my fellowship, I worked with the Washington Business Journal (WBJ) as well as the Santa Barbara News-Press. In both of these positions, I networked with businessmen and women, future leaders of the industry, young entrepreneurs and local celebrities.

After finishing my fellowship I interned briefly at the Daily Caller, the namesake publication of Fox News Reporter Tucker Carlson. During my time there I reported on Social Justice issues, crime, Veteran Affairs and PC culture on college campuses.

Not long after interning with The DC, I landed my first full-time job with InsideNOVA now Rappahonick Media. At the publication, I was fortunate enough to write about the Marine Corps aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico. At MCBQ I worked in their Public Affairs Office and my job was to write and inform the community about anything and everything that occurred aboard the base. This included going to Marine Corps University and sitting in on lectures to blazing the cold winters and brutal heat during field and training exercises. I also was afforded the opportunity to have my name placed in Marine Corps history as I was the last reporter to write for the Quantico Sentry after they published their 100-year anniversary issue.

After MCBQ said goodbye to their newspaper I found myself working as the Communications Manager for the Middle Atlantic Professional Golfers' Association (MAPGA). It was my responsibility to not only write about the more than 1,100 PGA Professionals in the DC-MD-VA area, but I manage their website, social media, and newsletters. I have since moved on to working for the Prince William County Police Department as a Senior Communications Analyst in their Animal Control Bureau.
In my role with the Animal Control Bureau, I managed their marketing and administrative department. Through creative marketing and social media strategy, I was able to provide a meaningful impact to the shelter by improving their public perception and helping adopt out numerous animals.

Thus far, my job is has taken me to some very exciting places. And I look forward to all of the exciting places I will go as I continue my career path as an exemplary communications professional.
